John is a partner in Coastal Development Partners, with over 20 years of experience in management, brokerage and construction along the east coast. John’s career began in New York City working for a midsize real estate company focused on leasing and management around the New York City area. John moved to Charlotte, NC in an opportunity to expand his career with Lincoln Harris where he managed the Bank of America real estate portfolio. In 2004, John moved back home to Savannah, GA to start his own development and construction company where he has focused on the construction of over 100 infill properties in downtown Savannah as well as custom homes throughout the Savannah and Bluffton areas.
John Graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. John is a licensed Contractor and Real Estate Broker in Georgia and South Carolina. He is an active board member at the Home Builders Association of Savannah and is also a member of the Historic Savannah Foundation.
Douglas Schulman currently serves as the manager of Coastal Development Partners. He is also the Executive Vice-President of Natwill LTD, a family-owned real estate developer and investor focused on student housing, multifamily, and industrial properties. Previously, he served as the CEO of Manhattan Shade & Glass, a third-generation family business providing high-end custom window treatments, glass, and upholstery products in several verticals.
Douglas holds a BA and JD degrees from Hofstra University, a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development & Investment from New York University. He is also a graduate of the OPM Program at the Harvard Business School and has been admitted to the New York State Bar.
Joshua Schulman serves as an Associate at Coastal Development. He is part of the development team responsible for overseeing the acquisition of new sites, managing relationships with underwriting institutions, sourcing and evaluating trade partners, and managing the development process.
Joshua holds a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development & Investment from New York University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Organizational Behavior from the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University.
Neil Patterson is a Project Manager at Coastal Development. He helps organize and oversee the construction process ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
Previously, Neil focused on the environmental and health safety side of construction consulting for clients in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
Neil obtained his Bachelor of Science in Safety Management from Slippery Rock University while serving in the US Army National Guard. Currently, he is attending Northeastern University in pursuit of a Master of Science in Project Management with a concentration in Construction Management.
Chrystal, a Pacific Northwest transplant, attended the University of Washington. She holds a passion for helping small businesses tend to what matters most, while keeping their books in order.
She is on the Financial team at Coastal, overseeing not only the Accounting, but some of the Operations. While attending UW she was able to take Construction Management courses aligned with the accounting aspects of Construction to form a unique set of skills. In total, Chrystal holds over 10 years of combined accounting and Construction Project Management experience. Chrystal is a big fan of her Husband, All things Dog, and the outdoors.
Justin Tadlock is a Construction Project Manager at Coastal Development. He helps oversee the construction process to ensure projects are completed in a timely & efficient manner.
Justin is originally from West Virginia, but moved to the Charlotte, NC area in 2017 where he worked in the water treatment industry. In his free time, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife & daughter, walking his dogs & fly fishing.
Lindsay Gorecki serves as a Bookkeeper for Coastal Development. Born and raised in the Upstate of South Carolina, she moved to the Lowcountry just over ten years ago. Lindsay earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate, specializing in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics/Finance. She then continued to gain accounting knowledge and experience as a General Manager in the Restaurant Industry, until making her way into the Construction Industry. When Lindsay is not spending her time on Coastal’s finances, she is spending time with her three favorite guys; husband, Tom, and two sons, Wyatt and Sylas.
